Residents on St. John can learn more about cancer and programs for optimal health and well-being through a Health-sponsored forum to be held later this month.
The forum, which is being hosted by the Department of Health’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Westin St. John Resort and Villas.
Residents can pre-register by calling 773-1311, Ext. 3158 or 3131. On-site registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on July 10.
“I am pleased that the forum is being offered on St. John as part of ongoing efforts to bring
health care back to the community,” Sheen said Thursday. “I encourage residents to come and learn more about the disease from our noted panelists.”
Doctors Samuel Hughes, Edith Ramsey-Johnson and Bert Petersen wills serve as panelists along with Gail-Ann Guy-Felix, Ronnie Jones and Jewel
Harrigan.
Sheen said that CMEs and CEUs will be offered to participants.
Lunch will be served and transportation will be provided to and from the Cruz Bay Dock to the Westin at the following times:
- Pick-up from Cruz Bay - 8:20; 9:20 and 10:20 a.m.
- Drop-off to Cruz Bay - 12:45; 1:45 and 2:30 p.m.
